Task 1

The chart below give the number of people employed in five types of work in a certain region in Australia in 2001 and 2008.  Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Sample

The given bar graph shows the number of people working in sales, computers, accounting, nursing, and farming in one region of Australia in 2001 and 2008.

Overall, the sales sector employed the majority of people in both years, while the farming sector employed the least number of people. Furthermore, employment statistics in any other industry did not change much between the two years.

In 2001, approximately 150,000 people worked in the sales industry. After then, there was a minor increase in sales employment during the next seven years, with 20,000 more individuals employed in sales. Between the provided time of tenure, personnel in the computer and nursing sectors had similar but minor increases, rising from 50,000 in the former to 70.000 in the former and 60.000 in the latter.

A cursory examination of the remaining data reveals that manpower in the accounting and farming sectors has decreased over time. In 2001, the accounting sector employed just under 60.000 people, with barely a third of them working in agricultural fields. After 7 years, the statistics in the accounting industry remained unchanged; however, in 2008, the farming sector saw an even more inferior level of employment.

Nhìn chung, ngành bán hàng (sales) có nguồn nhân lực lớn nhất trong cả 2 năm, còn ngành nông nghiệp thì ngược lại -> dùng từ ngữ thể hiện sự đối lập; Ngoài ra có thể thấy các ngành khác không có quá nhiều sự khác biệt trong 2 năm. 

Đoạn tiếp theo phân tích số liệu ngành sales (sử dụng động từ chỉ sự tăng trưởng); Cùng với đó, ngành máy tính và điều dưỡng có số liệu tương đương nhau nên gom thông tin chung. Đoạn cuối cùng phân tích các ngành còn lại (tăng, giảm, giữ nguyên,…) và sử dụng các mẫu câu khác nhau để thể hiện số liệu.

Task 2

Some people think that the best way to be successful in life is to get a university education. Others disagree and say that nowadays this is no longer true. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Sample

Academic degrees from institutions are thought to be the best approach to attain goals and gain more success, while some claim that university degrees are not necessary for success. Effective university education, in my opinion, prepares individuals for a brighter future and professional qualifications which would be subjected to careful consideration during the course of this essay. 

To commence with, applying to prominent institutions can assist residents in achieving their goals and providing them with the best opportunities to expand their knowledge. Universities have well-known academics with professional knowledge who can assist people in becoming successful. People who have attended universities, for example, have learned practical skills such as communication, time management, and leadership, all of which can have an impact on their future life. Moreover, going to elite colleges, in my opinion, provides students with comprehensive educations that are not available anywhere else. As a result, achieving greater success in life can lead to a more effective university education.

Getting experience or doing something one enjoys, on the other hand, can help anybody become a professional rather than obtaining academic degrees. People may follow their dreams or develop skills that they desire, and these aims can lead to their success. For example, some of the top soccer players in the world do not have any academic degrees, but they put in a lot of effort.

In conclusion, some individuals believe that obtaining prestigious establishments is the best approach to help people become professional people in their life, while others believe that experiences and goals are more significant. Academic education, in my opinion, can help us develop practical skills that will help us achieve greater success in our life.

Phân tích

Đề bài yêu cầu phân tích cả 2 khía cạnh của vấn đề; do đó mỗi đoạn body sẽ tương ứng với 1 quan điểm.

Đoạn body 1 nếu lên tầm quan trọng của bằng Đại học đối với sự nghiệp: Trường ĐH đào tạo không chỉ những kiến thức, mà còn là những kỹ năng cứng/ mềm giúp phục vụ cho công việc sau này; Bên cạnh đó, việc học ĐH có mức học phí cao cũng giúp sinh viên dễ thành công trong cuộc sống vì có khung đào tạo chất lượng mà ít đâu có được.

Ngược lại, đoạn body 2 lại nhấn mạnh việc trau dồi kinh nghiệm thực tế sẽ có ích trong công việc (ví dụ về cầu thủ bóng đá). Mỗi luận điểm được bắt đầu bằng những cụm từ chỉ dẫn nhằm định hướng cho người đọc, và được bổ sung bằng những lập luận, dẫn chứng chặt chẽ.

Kết lại, tác giả nêu quan điểm nghiêng về phía học tập trong trường ĐH, vì nó đem lại những kỹ năng mềm cần thiết phục vụ cho công việc và đời sống.

Task 1

The diagrams below show the site of a school in 2004 and the plan for changes to the school site in 2024.

Sample

The two maps depict a possible concept for a school in order to satisfy the increasing demand for its pupils from 2004 to 2024.

Overall, the appearance of the third school building and the second car park, among other things, has changed significantly at the school.

In 2004, the school only had two classroom buildings and a parking lot, with adequate space for 600 pupils. Furthermore, a walkway going from the main gate in the west to the sports field in the east of the school grounds divided two school buildings.

The school is expected to undergo significant renovations in 2024 in order to accommodate 1000 students. As a result, the sports field is planned to be relocated in order to create room for the construction of a new school building and a new parking lot adjacent to it. As a result, the area of the sports field would be reduced and it is going to be shifted to the south. A new road from the main entrance may also be used to transport vehicles to the second car lot. Finally, the aim is to link the two original school buildings, with the original route connecting them to the third structure.

Phân tích

Nhìn chung điểm khác biệt của 2 bản đồ nằm ở việc xây thêm một school building và bãi đậu xe mới. Do đó cần nhắc tới ngay trong phần khái quát. 

Mỗi đoạn tiếp theo mô tả sơ đồ của từng năm. Năm 2004 chỉ có 2 toà nhà cách nhau bởi 1 đường đi, và 1 bãi đậu xe, do đó chỉ có thể đủ cho 600 học sinh. Tuy nhiên kế hoạch trong tương lai sẽ có thêm 1 toà nhà  thay thế vào sân vận động cũ, và sân sẽ được dời xuống phía nam. Bên cạnh đó trường sẽ có xây thêm một con đường lớn để nối các toà nhà với nhau. 

Các động từ được sử dụng ở thể bị động (relocate, reduce, shift, use,…) đi kèm với các giới từ chỉ vị trí ( in the west, in the east, adjacent to, to the south,…).

Task 2

Some people think that people should be given the right to use freshwater as they like. Others believe governments should strictly control the use of freshwater. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Sample

Water is a vital natural resource that nature has bestowed upon humanity. While some believe that freshwater usage should be regulated by the government, others believe that it should be accessible for people to consume as much as they wish. In this paper, I would discuss both points of view in depth and present examples to show why the first assertion is correct.

There are two reasons why advocates feel that freshwater should be plentiful for the general public. First and foremost, fresh water is a basic human requirement for everyday activities and should be given at no cost. Different functions, such as drinking, washing clothing, bathing, and so on, are basic necessities for every individual without which they would perish. Furthermore, they believe that governments should ensure that rainwater collection pits are built at appropriate locations in order to boost groundwater availability during the rainy season.

Others, including myself, believe that strong policies should steer people in the proper direction to utilise water in a restricted manner in order to save it for future generations. Pure water amenities are enjoyed by only the wealthier communities due to a lack of good administration, leaving the poor in the lurch. Aside from that, the mismanagement of this natural resource is a contributing factor. For amusement and enjoyment, many resorts and hotels, for example, use millions of gallons in games and swimming pools.

To summarise, many individuals believe that government laws should manage freshwater distribution, while others believe that there should be no price for using it. I totally agree that local governments should rigorously supervise its use because it is a basic need for everyone and should be shared equally between the affluent and the poor.

Phân tích

Phần mở bài nêu 2 ý kiến trái chiều về việc sử dụng nguồn nước, cũng như nêu rõ quan điểm tác giả nghiêng về ý kiến nhà nước nên quản lý vấn đề này. 

Đoạn thân bài 1 giải thích lý do người dân nên được sử dụng nguồn nước một cách tự do: phục vụ nhu cầu thiết yếu để ăn uống, tắm giặt,…Bên cạnh đó đưa ra gợi ý nhà nước nên xây dựng các bể chứa nước để giúp người dân có nước sạch để dùng thường xuyên.

Tuy nhiên ở đoạn thân bài 2 khẳng định lại vai trò quan trọng của Nhà nước trong việc định hướng cho người dân sử dụng nguồn nước hợp lý, không để người nghèo thiếu nước sạch để dùng. Nhà nước cũng cần tăng cường quản lý nguồn nước đối với các dịch vụ du lịch vì đây là ngành sử dụng nước rất nhiều. 

Các cụm từ chỉ dẫn được sử dụng: First and foremost, Furthermore, Aside from that, To summarise,…để giúp người đọc định vị thông tin. Bên cạnh đó việc sử dụng các ví dụ, dẫn chứng cụ thể giúp bài viết trở nên dễ hiểu và tăng tính thuyết phục.

The line graph shows the percentage of people accessing news from 4 sources.

The graph depicts the percentage of individuals who use various means to obtain news since 1995, as well as the projection for 2025.

Overall, while the internet grew in popularity throughout the time period studied, the remaining figures did not. Besides, these patterns are expected to persist in the upcoming years. 

In 1995, approximately two-thirds of people watched news programs on television. Despite a minor increase of 3% in 2010, the figure subsequently declined to 55 percent in 2020. In 2025, it is expected to reach exactly half. Furthermore, beginning at around 55 percent, the statistics for newspapers and radios followed a similar downward trajectory, falling to around 30 percent in 2020. Later on, it is expected that around 30% of people will read newspapers and approximately 23% will listen to the radio for news in the year 2025. 

Despite only being available in 1995 and drawing just a tiny percentage of the population in 2000, the internet grew in popularity over the next 20 years, with 40% of the population using it. In 2025, this ratio is expected to rise to almost 55 percent, surpassing newspapers as the most popular form of receiving information.

Có thể thấy rõ rằng Internet là hình thức phát triển mạnh nhất trong khi các phương tiện truyền thông khác thì có chiều hướng đi xuống. 

Đoạn body đầu tiên phân tích sự thay đổi của TV, báo và radio, đặc biệt chú trọng vào những năm 2020, 2025, vì những năm nay có sự thay đổi rõ rệt. Không cần phải mô tả hết tất cả các mốc thời gian nếu như không có gì nổi bật, đặc biệt là đối với những bài có nhiều năm. Những động từ được sử dụng: increase, subsequently declined, reach exactly half, followed a downward trajectory, falling,…

Đoạn cuối cùng mô tả sự trái ngược của Internet so với 3 hình thức còn lại, vượt qua báo để trở thành phương tiện truyền thông có tỷ lệ sử dụng cao nhất.

With the advancement of technology and the economy in the twenty-first century, there are an increasing number of challenges that governments and public are concerned about. While some say that academics must prioritise human health over other concerns, I feel that a variety of other issues must also be addressed. This essay would go into further detail on the topic and explain my perspective.

On the one hand, the health problem is one of the most hazardous issues that the world, as well as specialists, must address due to its grave nature. The number of those affected is increasing day by day, owing to the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has a direct influence on human health. Because of its widespread proliferation, not only any one country, but also international communities, must develop antibiotics to protect individuals from this dangerous bacterium. Had it not been resolved, the complaint would have spread to other people, and the globe would have been severely damaged not long after.

On the other hand, as the Covid-19 epidemic is rapidly growing, there are an increasing number of conflicts that the world must decide and disseminate before the situations escalate. As policymakers and experts clamp down on a single problem, the others would be overlooked, leading to more serious consequences such as social problems and pollution. For example, Russia has declared war on Ukraine, which has an impact on some commodities such as gold and fuel. Every problem, in my viewpoint, should be treated equally and without discrimination.

In conclusion, while healthcare is one of the most important issues that politicians and professionals must address, the others must not be overlooked. I am cautiously optimistic that the majority of these concerns could be resolved in the near future, allowing for a better society and greater living conditions.

Kết bài tóm tắt lại các ý phía trên đồng thời thể hiện lại quan điểm bản thân về việc các vấn đề xã hội đều cần được giải quyết như nhau.

The graph shows the value in US dollars (in millions of dollars) of investment in funds of four categories from 1988 to 2014.

Sample

The line graph depicts the amount of money invested in four financial assets between 1988 and 2014, including real estate, gold, fine art, and corporate stock. Millions of US dollars are used to calculate measurements.

Overall, during the time period illustrated, all four types of investment funds increased. Specifically, Gold has seen the most significant rise of any of them.

In 1988, around $50 million was invested in real estate and corporate stock, while $75 million was spent on fine art and $100 million on gold. The value of the investment in fine art changed throughout the next 18 years. In contrast, there was a minor rise in property investment (about 100 million dollars), while corporate shares and gold drew substantial investment interest, with numbers for each above 200 million dollars.

From 2006 to 2014, gold was the most heavily invested asset, reaching a high of 450 million dollars before falling, followed by fine art, which increased steadily from 100 to about 325 million dollars. In comparison, the value of a company’s stock and real estate has only increased by about $50 million since 2006.

Task 2

Some people believe that schools should teach foreign languages to primary school children. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

Sample

The capacity to communicate in languages other than our native tongue has become more important than ever in the age of globalisation. The question then becomes whether it is necessary to teach this to primary school students. In this article, I would discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of this question.

There are various advantages to beginning to study a foreign language at a young age. First and foremost, at this time, children are more adaptable and may readily learn any language. However, whether they attempt to study at the secondary level, they would find it difficult to follow the norms and laws of other languages owing to the stronger effect of the mother tongue. Furthermore, children are naturally more interested and ready to learn new things at a young age. As a result, competency and fluency in a new or foreign language may be obtained in elementary school, which will greatly benefit them in the long term. Finally, proficiency in a foreign language is extremely useful for both professional development and financial advancement. Because developing profound knowledge in any language takes time, every child should begin studying a second language as soon as feasible; else, their future will be jeopardised.

Nevertheless, there are some consequences that cannot be avoided if a child begins learning a foreign language at a young age. For starters, because they are not grown enough, kids cannot comprehend the true meaning of many components of the language. Furthermore, they do not always take language acquisition seriously. As a result, the value of that language will be diminished in their minds, which will have a number of negative consequences. Furthermore, as a result of the increasing workload in schools, some youngsters demonstrate contempt and a lack of interest in foreign languages. As a result, individuals may acquire a negative attitude toward learning, particularly language development.

To conclude, despite certain downsides, society and individuals should evaluate a wide range of benefits when selecting whether or not their school-age children should study a foreign language.

The line graph shows the global demand for different textile fibers between 1980 and 2015.

The line graph depicts total global textile demand between 1980 and 2015.

Overall, demand for polyester, cotton, and cellulosic textiles increased throughout the time period indicated, while demand for wool plummeted. Meanwhile, polyester was the most rapidly growing of these materials. 

To begin with, cotton demand was more than 10 million tons in 1980, making it the most popular fabric, and it had continuously climbed to about 30 million tons by 2000. After falling to around 20 million tons throughout this time, it progressively increased, culminating at more than 30 million tons in 2015. Polyester consumption rose substantially from roughly 5 to 20 million tons from 1980 to 1995, much faster than cotton demand. Eventually, it grew significantly after 1995, reaching a high of approximately 70 million tons in 2015.

Besides, in 1980, the demands for cellulosic and wool were almost the same, at around 5 million tons each. After that, they followed opposite patterns at a similar pace. From 1980 to 2000, while the figure for cellulosic dropped slightly then increased to about 10 million tons, that for wool increased before declining to almost no demand.

Although there is a lot of translation software available, learning a language could still be advantageous. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Sample

People live in a linguistically varied world, and the necessity to study a foreign language has grown over time. Even though many individuals nowadays rely on numerous translation tools for improved communication, I personally feel that learning a new language is a superior alternative, which would be discussed during the course of this essay. 

Although using translation software is simple and inexpensive, the information may not always be correct. Many of these applications have demonstrated a low degree of accuracy across multiple languages due to their inability to translate contexts. Also, a majority of translation apps can only function decently amongst major languages, ignoring the minor ones. As a response, learning a new language can help to overcome this problem. 

There are several more advantages to learning a new language. One of them is that it aids in the development of one’s brain power. Because a language is a complicated system with many rules and structures, so attempting to understand it increases cognitive thinking and problem-solving abilities. This is beneficial to both professional and personal development. Furthermore, learning a new language boosts the networking abilities. It allows people to engage with speakers from other cultural backgrounds, allowing everyone to broaden their social circle. It also aids in obtaining better professional opportunities. Large firms want people who speak numerous languages because they are deemed versatile and adaptive.

In conclusion, while learning a new language may be difficult, it is far superior to utilizing a translation software in my opinion since it helps build strong cognitive abilities, improves social interaction, and encourages connection with peers.

Parents should set punishments in some ways if their children break the law. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Most people believe that young children should be educated about their attitudes at a young age, and that punishment may be necessary in some situations to complete this education. I firmly consider that some form of punishment for the benefit of children should be permitted, as I shall explain in more detail throughout the following paragraphs.

First and foremost, it appears that teaching good behavior and qualities to children when they are still young will be relatively simple for both parents. Furthermore, whether this lesson is followed by a suitable consequence, children will be concerned and think twice before disobeying the rules. According to recent research, many children are more likely to have a nice manner if they understand that fact before they reach adulthood. Furthermore, as long as children are aware that they would be scolded and disciplined should they engage in misbehavior, they generally refrain from engaging in such behavior. This study shows that teaching children a lesson followed by convenience penalties from a young age is a superior way to raise them to be good members of society.

However, the purpose of punishment should always be to teach a lesson rather than to scare a youngster. Before inflicting any punishment on a kid, parents should always consider other options. If the youngster performs the same heinous conduct multiple times, a mild penalty should be imposed to teach a lesson. A harsh punishment administered by parents may cause psychological harm to a youngster, hence instructors and parents must use extreme caution when administering punishment. Taking away a child’s favorite toy, setting limits for leisure activities or setting clear rules,…can be effective punishments when no physical punishment is necessary. Parents should keep in mind that the main purpose of the punishment is to teach the child a lesson not to hurt him physically.

In conclusion, it has been determined that a lesson in good manners should be imparted as early as possible, as well as effective punishment such as rebuking favorite items or being highly demanding.

According to the data, around one-quarter of females in the United Kingdom consumed the recommended quantity of fruits and vegetables in 2002. This was followed by over 22% of males consuming these items on a daily basis, which was twice as high as that of youngsters.

Over the next eight years, the statistics for all categories rose to a peak in 2006, with women accounting for little more than 30% of the total. However, by 2010, the percentage of ladies, males, and children consuming fruit and vegetables had fallen somewhat to 27 percent, 24 percent, and 14 percent, respectively.

To initiate with, films and books are not preferable methods for young people to acquire good habits since they contain numerous defective role models. To be more particular, characters in such media genres are generally idealised or exaggerated to appeal to audiences; as a result, they frequently exhibit more extreme and violent acts than in reality. As a result, many people tend to replicate such activities in real life, being oblivious to the fact that they are despicable and have serious repercussions. 

Another reason I concur is because individuals react emotionally more intensely to real-life situations, which means they acquire more out of them. For starters, they can recall what they learned more vividly. In fact, should individuals behave improperly and be chastised by others, they may discover that their behaviours are completely inappropriate and offend others significantly; as a result, they are more likely to avoid committing the same missteps. Furthermore, firsthand experiences allow young people to determine which habits best suit them. To be more specific, books and movies may have settings being estranged from reality, while real-life experiences are more pragmatic. 

To summarise, I profoundly reject the notion that movies and books instill desired behaviours in young people, and learning through experience is more effective in controlling behaviour and attitudes since they can be better stored and are more appropriate for each individual.

Overall, the process of creating soft cheese could well be broken down into five distinct steps. To be specific, the procedure starts with the mixing of water and milk and finishes with the manufacture of soft cheese.

Water and milk are first combined in a mixer. Afterwards, the mixture is chilled for 2 hours at 5°C. Salt is then subsequently added to the cooled mixture, which is then fermented for 2 hours at 35°C. As a result, the liquid thickens much more at this point. Evaporation at 100°C for eight hours is the fourth phase, and the steam released is allowed to exit through an outlet.

From there, the mixture is transferred to cooling. This is done for another eight hours at 5°C. When the mixture cools, it gets exceedingly thick. The water is filtered out through a filter at the bottom, and the cheese is filtered out through an exit at the top. It is also noticeable that this cheese is very soft in consistency.

Task 2

Some people think that young people should be required to do unpaid work helping people in the community. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Many community programs rely significantly on volunteers to provide their time and effort. Some individuals hold an opinion that young people should be required to participate in programs like this to help those in need. Despite the numerous drawbacks that may result from this advice, I believe that such programs are overwhelmingly beneficial.

On the one hand, establishing unpaid employment programs would be detrimental to the community as well as individuals. To begin with, young people are frequently immature for such employment. As a result, requiring them to assist the elderly, work on repair projects, or educate younger children would create more difficulties than it solves. These young individuals would require more supervision from the charity. Furthermore, high school students are under a lot of academic pressure, so fitting these projects into their schedule may be difficult, especially for those who want to achieve good academic results. As a result, developing this sort of program may appear complicated.

Nonetheless, these issues could usually be rectified, and there are clear benefits for both young people and the society. Although it is true that children are often immature, such projects would help them develop a feeling of responsibility and obtain practical skills that would be valuable in the future. Furthermore, encouraging youth to be community-minded would allow experienced volunteers to work less in the future, lowering their work-related stress. As a result, such programs would be highly beneficial by all.

To summarize, I fully endorse this plan. Although the concept of mandatory service might well be difficult to implement at first, and some may object, the long-term advantages would undoubtedly outweigh any short-term obstacles.

Overall, Pebbleton has grown exponentially with the expansion of road infrastructure, as well as the building of additional dwellings and recreational amenities, changing the town into a more urbanised one.

Initially, Pebbleton was an undeveloped peninsula connected to the mainland through Roadbridge, which was the only route to get to school on the opposite side of the river 20 years ago. A playing field ran horizontally along Old Ford Road in the central section, and a film studio filled the southern portion of the peninsula. Meanwhile, the northern section was dedicated to a lighthouse, an old fort, and a series of residences built along the beach that could only be reached by Lighthouse Lane.

Initially, I argue that exporting commodities to other nations without government oversight can have a variety of negative consequences in various areas. First and foremost, trading items without restrictions may be thought to play a key role in lowering product quality and trustworthiness in contemporary society. Pharmaceutical and food corporations, for example, like to export their drugs in order to maximize their profit margins. Without government controls, certain businesses might engage in unlawful activities such as selling products with illegal substances, posing a major risk to customers in the long run. 

Furthermore, it is thought that allowing countries to freely trade products will not only stifle their economic progress but also put them at danger of experiencing economic instability. Indeed, due to the lack of government restrictions, merchants may be able to implement their marketing plans by offering items at excessively cheap or high costs in comparison to market norms in order to gain the market share.

On the other side, many individuals may argue that placing more restrictions on commercial activity would prevent their economy from being prosperous. From that view, many businesses and private firms should be able to freely export to other nations in order to increase their productivity should the situation allow. However, despite laws being prone to be violated, they would act as a deterrence and guideline for businesses to operate.

To summarize, despite the general benefits of being able to freely trade commodities, I believe that it would be better for both people and communities to carry out export movements in compliance with government regulations.

There are various research alternatives for finding relevant information about the building’s history. Local councils in less developed areas, on the other hand, may not operate efficiently or inhabitants may not respect the regulations. In this scenario, it is quite beneficial to interview neighbours in order to obtain brief but trustworthy information from them that may have been passed down down the centuries. The table below describes the number of employees and factories in England and Wales from 1851 to 1901.

The given table presents the statistics of factory staff and factories in England and Wales over a period of half a century from 1851 to 1901. 

Overall, the table indicates that the total number of factory employees witnessed a downward trend throughout the surveyed period whereas the data of factories increased significantly. Besides, the figure for males mostly dominated that of the counterpart, except for the year 1861.

Initially, there were nearly half a million workers in total with only 225 factories back in the year 1851. While the former had a drop of nearly 200,00 in the next decade, the latter remained stable. Moving to 1871, the total number of workers fell around 50% whereas the number of factories tripled.  During the last 30 years, the number of factories fluctuated a little to the peak of 721 and finally stopped at 600 in 1901. During the same time, the figure for workers continued to decrease to only 61,000 in the last year. 

In terms of the gender distribution, the total number of female and male workers gradually decreased throughout the period, from about 288,000  and 190,000, respectively, to approximately 30,000. However, only in the year 1861, the figure for females was slightly higher than that for males.

Task 2

The best way to solve the world’s environmental problems is to increase the cost of fuel for cars and other vehicles. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Sample

It has been argued that raising the price of gasoline for vehicles in general is considered as the ideal method to address global environmental issues. During the course of this essay, I would analyse this opinion objectively as well as to present feasible alternatives before coming to a rational conclusion. 

It is true that an increased price for fuel, perhaps by taxations, might help in alleviating the general air pollution as well as reducing personal carbon footprint. In detail, cars and other vehicles running on fossil fuels have contributed a tremendous amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This does not only exacerbate the air quality problem in developing countries but also contributes to global warming. In case that costs of fuel are increased, people would be reluctant to use their private vehicles, which would eventually lead to a reduction in emissions. Thus, the presented solution seems to be an appropriate one to tackle the issue in the short-term. 

On the other hand, increasing fuel costs would be counterproductive to a certain extent. Under the influence of a hike in petrol prices, the global economy would be detrimentally affected, especially for the group of less affluent people. As a result, concentrating on developing renewable energy would be more beneficial as these sources are less finite and pollution-free. For instance, electric vehicles are the upcoming trend, yet they are still prohibitively expensive to be a sensible alternative. When renewables are more available to an ordinary resident, the dependence of burning fossil fuels would be reduced without any punishments. 

In conclusion, it is reasonable to state that although the hike in fuel prices would help reduce emissions, it is far from being an ideal solution. Thus, the environmental problems would be tackled more efficiently by alternatives, such as investing more in renewable energy.

Overall, while gas and coal accounted for over half of France’s energy output in both years, being the most significant energy sources overall, nuclear energy and other sources produced the least amount of energy. Over the ten given years, there was minimal change in the generation of any kind of energy.

To begin with, coal’s contribution to energy production was approximately 30 percent in the first year, and it witnessed a quite minor increase of around 1 percent in 2005. Similar to oil, gas generated relatively equal figures in both years.

Regarding the other energy production methods, there was a roughly 5% increase in output from nuclear energy and other sources, bringing them to over 10 and 9 percent, respectively. The sole energy source whose output fell from 29.27 percent in 1995 to about a fifth in 2005 was gasoline.

Some people think that the main purpose of schools is to turn children into good citizens and workers, rather than to benefit them as individuals. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people are of the opinion that the primary role of schools is to create good citizens, instead of merely working towards individual betterment. During the course of this essay, this statement would be subjected to objective discussion before drawing a rational conclusion. 

Obviously, there are a plethora of reasons to support the given perspective; nevertheless, the value of a well-functioning society seems to be the most widely accepted. As contemporary society moves into a phase of rapid developments in medicine, technology, welfare and so on, the luxury of conformity requires people to sacrifice their individualism for common prosperity.  To be specific, individuals are expected to function harmoniously to both stimulate the economy and preserve the peaceful existence amongst communities. As much as these prerequisites require education, school is where this education can initiate. In many educational institutions, teachers have the power to both openly and subconsciously influence students’ socially responsible actions and provide them with a solid foundation for future employment.

On the other hand, this perspective should not be considered an ideal one. As a result of following their own ostensibly selfish goals, students who are taught to share, work effectively in teams, and enhance their talents can benefit society. In addition, it’s possible that occasionally the emphasis on society may come at the expense of people’s mental health. For instance, pupils who are instructed to keep their personal opinions to themselves in class, as is typical in many authoritarian countries, could harbour anger and feel unable to properly express themselves in a democratic setting. According to cognitive science, the ability to express oneself without worrying about negative consequences or repercussions is essential for well-rounded development.

In conclusion, while there is a case to be made for societal stability, schools should work to develop strong, motivated students. Naturally, these objectives do not conflict with one another, and it is important to highlight the overlap.

On the other hand, the view that all teenagers should not be required to do unpaid things could be justified by the following ideas. First off, teenagers are frequently under a lot of pressure to study and take exams, so they should spend their free time resting or improving their academic performance. People only spend around 15 years in education before entering the workforce; as a result, they should not even commit to any working task too soon. In addition, rather than performing unpaid labour since so many families are struggling financially, the adolescents may seek a part-time job to help their parents.

In conclusion, I believe that individuals should volunteer whenever feasible, but it would not be realistic for schools to compel such activities.

Overall, from the beginning with whole beans to the finished goods on the market, it is obvious that the process is divided into three steps.

Firstly, whole beans are plucked from the cocoa tree in the initial stage. Their outer shells are removed after picking, and they are then dried for the following step. Subsequently, there are several stages in stage 2. The dry beans are then crushed to produce cocoa liquor. While the result is refined to create industrial chocolate that is sweetened with sugar and added with cocoa, some of these crushed beans are further pressed to create cocoa cake.

The third and final step involves grinding the cocoa cake to create cocoa powder and other side products. Whilst cocoa is used in the production of beverages and desserts, cocoa powder is sold on the market for consumer consumption. Also, consumers eventually consume the completed chocolate goods after the industrial chocolate has undergone final processing.

To conclude, most adults are definitely in favour of using technology to entertain and enjoy adventurous experiences these days. However, it should be considered a negative development as drawbacks would surely outweigh the benefits if people are addicted to such virtual forms of recreation.

Otherwise, it could be difficult for people to support themselves and family members if they consider their careers primarily on enjoyment or other non-financial considerations.

Nonetheless, I feel that other factors are equally as essential as the finances people make in their professions. First and foremost, while selecting a career, consideration should be given to interpersonal interactions and the culture of the workplace. The happiness and overall quality of life of employees can be greatly improved, for instance, by having a decent manager or congenial coworkers. Second, rather than the money they make, many people attribute their emotions of job satisfaction to their professional successes, the skills they acquire, and the positions they obtain. And finally, some people decide on a career because they seek to help others and have a beneficial impact on society.

In conclusion, while salaries certainly affect people’s choice of profession, it seems to be inappropriate to assume that money outweighs all other motivators.

As an outcome, businesses can generate substantial profits, which eventually would strengthen the nation’s economy. Additionally, this gives locals employment possibilities, preventing employees from moving to cities in search of employment. By doing so, the issues existing in metropolitans would be indirectly solved. To be specific, Positive effects on urban areas include the resolution of concerns with housing, transportation congestion, and pollution due to the possible low population density.

On the other hand, nothing is free from drawbacks. The large-scale moving of businesses should not be one without potential flaws. To commence, it would be challenging to hire skilled employees with a sufficient level of expertise, which might cause the process to stall. Employers, in particular, would face an additional burden of training inexperienced workers, which could be a consequence of moving to an area with a low background of education. According to estimates, demand for Mango jeans will outpace that for Jack & Jones in July and August. However, as long as the government is in charge of these scientific initiatives, I reckon private sector involvement would undoubtedly advance the overall objective. The fundamental reason is that since private funds are motivated by profit, they are more focused on the commercialization of scientific achievements than government officials who lack expertise in either the scientific or business fields. With genuine economic rewards achieved by the research, interested parties may be more encouraged to conduct additional research. Government employees can also be ineffective and shorthanded at times. Without such cooperation, they might quickly become overburdened by the volume of work and correspondence.

In conclusion, I propose that, as long as they can be rigorously monitored by authorities, scientific research could be conducted and commercialised more effectively with the cooperation of the government and private firms.

One of these is forms of written language that are assumed to be transformed into more informal methods due to a hectic schedule and the development of social networks. Despite the observation of some merits in this situation, the drawbacks outweigh its benefits, which would be discussed objectively during the course of this essay before drawing on a rational conclusion. 

Obviously, there are a host of reasons leading to this phenomenon. One of the factors behind the trend toward using less formal written language in place of the previous opulent style is the acceleration of life. Since this new approach is unmistakably close to spoken language, it requires less thought to select vocabulary and exert advanced grammar. The result is an increase in writing speed, which is one of the most critically important benefits of this condition, particularly when it comes to social networks. And since the majority of social network users are the young generation, this trend seems to dominate the online community. 

On the other hand, this substitution not only gets rid of the intriguing hallmarks of classic literature, but it also leads to the loss of the skill of proper writing, which harms language irreparably and for which there is no reparation. Each language needs both formal and informal features; if just one is present, the language cannot be considered whole. Additionally, formal written language is required in some circumstances, business correspondence to be specific. Under the circumstances of writing business proposals or official inquiries, a document with a relaxing style would be considered as being inappropriate; thus, lowering the chance of business success. 

In conclusion, even while the replacement of two different language formats may increase writing speed, enabling people to convey their message more quickly, it can occasionally harm the beauty of language features; consequently, crucial components of writing may disappear permanently.

In general, it is intended for the specified region to undergo a significant renovation in order to construct more residential amenities while eventually razing the factories.

Regarding the first map, the town area is currently comparatively empty. The town is surrounded by a street and a river on the North and South sides, respectively. Eight factories circulate a significant portion of the path along the two branches of the traffic roundabout in the town’s centre.

In the planned proposal, the traffic circle is expected to have two more lanes, one of which would cross the river directly to a new housing area on its north side. Another branch is anticipated to be surrounded by homes and stores to the west of that traffic circle, while the other leads to a different, smaller traffic circle on the original major route. The final branch will be located on the east side of the main intersection, from which people may access the medical centre in the northwest corner, the playground in the centre of the feeder road, and the school at the end of the street.

Although firms have always aimed to generate profit, it is becoming more and more frequent to find individuals discussing the social responsibilities that businesses should have. During the course of this essay, I would bring this situation to objective analysis before drawing a rational conclusion. 

On the one hand, it is relatively comprehensible  that businesses need to generate revenue in order to thrive in a cutthroat environment. It makes sense that any business’s top priority should be to pay for its ongoing expenses, such as employee salaries and payments for buildings and utilities. In addition to these expenditures, businesses must also make upgrades and innovations in order to continue to be prosperous. Any worries about social obligations become irrelevant unless a firm is able to cover its expenses or meet the continually changing expectations of the customer base. In other words, a firm can only contribute positively to society only if revenues are sound. 

The mission of a company should not, however, be to maximise revenue alone; instead, it should be to serve a greater social purpose. Owners and managers have a social responsibility to treat their employees fairly and not take advantage of them. To guarantee that employees have a high standard of living, they could, for instance, pay their staff a decent amount of income, based on the recommendation from the authorities. In addition, there is the concept of companies contributing a portion of their income to local charities, environmental causes, or educational programmes with the purpose of improving the general welfare of the local communities. Last but not least, rather than attempting to minimise their tax payments through accounting loopholes, corporate heads should be proactive in contributing to society by complying with their financial duty.

In conclusion, I uphold the opinion that businesses should give their social duties the amount of consideration being equal to their financial goals.

Regarding the relationships with international communities, these nations are usually praised for their harmonious connections.

As a matter of fact, the majority of top-tier managerial positions in most successful businesses are held by male members, as well as the expert statuses in most choices of career. Furthermore, women are inconveniently restrained by other duties besides taking leadership roles, such as balancing between work and family. To be specific, women usually have to break their work due to pregnancy, whereas their counterparts have no such trouble. 

In conclusion, it could be observed that there are no significant differences between the genders in terms of leadership effectiveness on any measure, which means women and men are equally suitable for leadership positions.

Half of these connections might be fraudulent, harming people psychologically and eventually physically. Moreover, it is not a good indicator for the community to maintain a positive environment when people are becoming less emotionally invested in their physical interactions. Children, in particular, are easily used and persuaded to carry out risky deeds, such as causing property damage or other dangerous trends. Not to mention that due to their sedentary lifestyles, humans will experience health problems including obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular illnesses. 

Contrarily, establishing virtual ties can really help people connect with one another around the world and are not always undesirable for society. The development of social media platforms like Facebook has made it much easier to maintain a relationship with less interaction than it was in the past. Furthermore, modern communication links those in need of assistance, especially during such problematic periods like the Covid-19 pandemic.

In conclusion, I think that despite some limitations, current communication technology helps improve several circumstances. In order to make the process productive, it is each person’s obligation to utilise it wisely.

While some may think that too much money is spent on these celebrations, they are often important to the people involved.

First and foremost, anniversaries like birthdays are reminiscent of how meaningful one’s presence is, while weddings are a time to celebrate a couple’s pivotal milestones (love and commitment) for each other. Such occasions are also important for family reunions because today’s overworked culture discourages people from spending quality time with their beloved ones. However, some celebrations have diverged from their original merits to become social status and wealth symbols. A salient example is that many Vietnamese parents insist on holding luxurious wedding receptions for their children to show off their wide social circles and financial strengths.

The above-explained significance of celebratory family activities may encourage excessive amounts spent on them. Banquets that may cost one’s lifetime savings are not unheard of. A traditional wedding in Vietnam, for instance, requires expensive allocations for bridal photoshoots and marriage ceremonies. Also indispensable is the spending on receptions, after which leftovers and ornaments are dumped, making such celebrations even more wasteful. In addition, many partygoers do not hesitate to pay for exorbitant presents given to their relatives and intimates whenever they are reunited with them. Meanwhile, other attendees give generously simply to maintain the event’s formality and opulence.

In conclusion, while celebratory occasions are great for family gatherings and strengthened bonds, materialism may encourage hosts and guests to squander money. Hence, the focus of family celebrations should be shifted from the act of gifting to the preservation of their true meanings.
